Transitioning Summer Favorites

Many people may have already started putting away their bathing suits and tank top for North Face jackets and rain boots, but just because the weather is getting colder doesn`t mean you have to put away those summer dresses or shirts.  A change of seasons does not mean you have to spend more money on a winter closet.  There are many ways to transition your summer wardrobe for those chilly days that are soon to be.

I have found myself wearing dresses more now than before because I really like to layer my clothing. I am usually found wearing layers because of the bi-polar weather here in Pennsylvania and I never know when the weather will change from 65 degrees to 40.  I also like to layer my clothes since I walk to class in the chilly, crisp air and I will never know if the temperature of the building will be freezing or extremely hot.

Not only do different layers make an outfit look good, but the type of shoes can help make a summer outfit look appropriate for fall.  Investing in a good pair of riding boots is a must for the change of seasons.  I enjoy wearing some cute high socks and riding boots with a dress and a jacket if I am feeling dressy on a day.  If I am feeling lazy I can throw on some leggings, my boots, and a sweater as I walk out the door and still look put together.

Experiment with layers to find your favorite go-to outfit for this season!

My typical fall outfit
